Hi! I recently bought an Athlon X2 3800+ with the M2N-MX ASUS mobo; and bought two identical DDR2 PC5200 making a total of 1GB(2x512). But the BIOS says: Usable memory:856MB!? I think this is because my motherboard has an onboard GeForce6100 that is sharing system ram... So is there a way to completely disable the onboard video and get 1GB Usable memory?

There should definitely be a BIOS option that allows you to disable the onboard graphics or at the very least turn down the memory usage with it to a minimum. Have you hit the delete button on boot and looked around the BIOS menus?

When you install your new video card and disable the onboard video as was explained to you in YOUR OTHER THREAD you will regain your 1GB of system memory, as well as the memory that is installed on your new video card.
