Hi
can some one tell me
How many cd burners I can attach to my computer ?

I hardly can remember that the IBM pc can hold a main storage device and three scondry storage device such as cd burners

how ever many you can fit..... a IDE cable provides 2 devices. and a normal mobo has 2 IDE slots....... Soooo 2x2=4 devices YAYAYAYAYA lol

IDE CD Burners would equal 4 with 2 onboard IDE controllers, but only if you have your boot drive on either SATA or a PCI IDE controller cards. Optical drives on controller cards sometimes have issues. If your board has more than 2 onboard IDE controllers, it may be possible to have more burners attached there.

Now...if you're talking about how many burners can you actually burn to at the same time, then Ive never seen anyone able to burn to more than 1 drive at a time.

yea you can hook up 4 at a time but only one will work at a time so bscially its usless. but for you to have 4 urners in one computer then youd need to have ur HDD in SATA or like Xtreme said have a PCI IDE controller
