hello..i recently reinstalled windows xp on my pc due to a motherboard failure which caused me to buy a new one and therefore to install windows again..there are two partitions c and d..whn i click on the d drive, it says the disk in drive d is not formatted..would u like to format it now...how do i solve this? thanks in advance

In "My Computer" just right click the D drive, and click "Format" and make sure it is NOT set to FAT or FAT32. Then let it run.

Before motherboard failure was it ok, because it is possible that the motherboard burned your HDD
