just built amd x2 3800+ with kn8 mobo and soprano case.

cpu temp seems to be sitting at 30c when idle and jumps maybe 5c when in action.

heatsink seems to be sitting nice and flush....

arctic silver was used when fitting h/s to cpu.

is this enough? not sure what temp range for amd x2 is....

other than maybe a tech problem with the thermometer any ideas?

If you have the .13 micron core at stock speeds 30c is about right at idle and 35c at full load is good.

If you have the .09 micron core you still not too far off to worry.
