im planning to have a
motherboard: ASUS P5ND2 SLi Deluxe
memory: GeiL Ultra-X series DDR2 1GB(512x2) 400 or 533MHz
videocard: XFX 6800GS or inoo 3d 6800GS
processor: P4 3.0Ghz

is this good enough?
any suggestions please

Im sure it will run games pretty well if thats what you mean.The GS is a solid card and geil is a great ram manufacturer.

YOu haven't provided much info so I'll hazzard a guess and say this is a gaming system? If you're getting a gaming system then an Althlon 64 is a better option.

I recommend you get an A64, DDR RAM (you get no speed loss from DDR2), a non-SLI board (SLI is hard to justify) and a 6800GS.

If you're not going to be overlcoking then going for Geil Value is a better option. With the money you save on the value RAM and getting a non-SLI board you could probabaly afford a better A64.

ahm can you give me some suggestion on non-sli motherboards for athlon 64 that performs well...

Well probs the best non SLI board is the DFI Lanparty UT nF4 Ultra-D. Its amazingly solid, gorgeous for overclocking and is hard to cause it to blow up

MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum is also a good non-SLi board.

agreed elsp. dfi makes great boards and that one is fabulous. used it in my bros pc (3500, 6800gs, 1gb) and i loved the bio and the ocing abilities of the board.
