Hey guys, my roomate is having some problems with his laptop. First and foremost, whenever there is a significant load on his hardware it seems to like to shut down, I thought perhaps from overheating or something of that nature. Do you know of any programs for fan control and temp monitoring? Or maybe would you recommend a flash with an updated BIOS (if it would help anything). His current BIOS just has like display brightness, battery options and boot order basically...nothing too serious in it. haha Anyway, any help would be great

Well, we tried it and it says (when you FIRST turn it on, so its still cold) that the system temperature is 73*C so i am not thinking either his sensors are kinda non-existant or the program is reporting wrong...

That sensor might be malfunctioning, causing it to read higher temps, which the laptop senses and therfore shuts off.
