hey there guys,

here is the proposed specs for my new computer

CASE: Antec P160
PSU: Coolermaster real power 450
GRAPHICS: Leadtek 7800GT vivo
DVD: Pioneer dvd dual layer
MOBO: ASUS A8N SLi
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 939 venice 3200+
RAM: possibly OCZ premiere 2x512
HDD: MAxtor 200gig SATA
SCREEN: CMV 934D 8ms 19"

just wanna hear some comments from you guys, bassicly yeh that all looks good, or thats not gonna work because.....

if you have any suggestions on diff parts i would be happy to hear them, as i said this is all proposed i havent actually bought anything yet and am very open to suggestions.

this pc will cost AU$1531

If that processor isnt the retail (PIB) version you will need some thermal paste/pad and a cpu hsf cooler

Samsung's P120 HDs are the fastest out right now. get one of these over the Maxtor if you can.

Are you going to OC? If you're not I'd spend a little extra and get a 3500+. If needs be drop the SLI board for a non-SLI one and get a cheaper DVDRW drive.

How much does 2GB Geil or Corsair value set you back? It might not be much more than the "performance" stuff and the extra 1Gb will help more with a lot of games than faster timings will.
