HI.
I need help chosing a harddisk. I'm more concerned about speed( transfer rate, acces time) and fiabilty in time.

1...HITACHI HDT722516VLSA80 160 Gb 7200 rpm, 8 Mb cache, S-ATA 150
2...Maxtor 6Y160M0 160 Gb 7200 rpm, 8 Mb cache, S-ATA 150
3...Seagate ST3160827AS 160 Gb 7200 rpm, 8 Mb cache, S-ATA 150, NCQ
4...W D WD160JS 160 Gb 7200 rpm, 8 Mb cache, S-ATA II .

W D WD160JS <- i have not got a problem with WD HDD I' recommend them

I havent had many problems with WD but they are so freaking loud and make that annoying whinning noise. Unless they have fixed that then i would get a seagate. Seagates are very speedy and i have never had a seagate drive fail on me ever.

I have the 4th one on the list. I chose it because it is SATA 300MB/s.

The best thing you can do when shopping for a new piece of hardware is READ REVIEWS. No matter what you are reviewing though, you are always going to have a negative review about it. Don't let that stop you from buying it.

Great HDD
Had it for about two weeks now and its running nice. It's totally silent compared to the one in my parents PC.
