I have a Biostar M7VIK Socket A mobo with latest website BIOS (0326B), which is supposed to feature 8x AGP support. I recently purchased an ATI/Sapphire RADEON 9250 which is 8x AGP compatible. The card works with the mobo, but I cannot alter the AGP mode in the BIOSit is locked at 4x AGP. What must I do to modify it to 8x AGP? This is quite annoying, especially considering that the one of the mobo's supposedly uber features is 8x AGP.

Try updating the BIOS?

Yes, according to Biostar's website my BIOS revision is the latest.

Well, the bandwidth from the 9250 wouldn't even be pushed on 4x AGP, let alone 8x. Nothing to worry about except principle.
