I was no sure where to post this...I got a problem when i put my PC on stand by and i move my mouse the system do not start up. What is the problem?
Windows Xp home edition sp2
Athlon 64 3200
gigabyte nforce4x

when your system is in stand by you have to hit a key on your keyboard for it to start up. When your screen saver is on and you move your mouse that's when that works.I think you got the two mixed up.

Push the power button or if you have a special standby key (usually a moon or similar) you can push that. Just pushing any key or moving the mouse won't wake the computer.

it usually depends on the bios setting ..... at least in my experience

no i checked the bios settings nothing there....also pushing th power button doe not bring it back from stand by....

power button is for hibernate and power off,mouse and keyboard is for stand by.i think ne way

I have my Stand By set to the power button.... random crap lol
