I just finished installing windows on my new pc. It works fine and i connect to the internet and download the ati driver.
After i install i do the required restart. Then when i reach the desktop it freezes. I go into safe mode uninstall the drivers and the comp works fine. Then i try downloading the omega drivers and same problem. Whats causing this problem and how do i fix it?

My specs
Powercolor x600xt
asus a8v-e deluxe motherboard
AMD 64 athlon 3500
Corsair 1gb
Windows XP sp2

Thanks in advance

Try to install an older driver like catalyst 4.2 or something like this!! I think in the atis site itself you find out!

I tried that and I also e-mailed ati and all they gave me the usual respon to completly unistall everything ati on my computer then reinstall. That was completly usless to me because i had already refformatted twice and reinstalled.
