Now about the heating up..I personally have never heard of anyone doing that. I have just read of people doing it the way I stated and it worked fine. Seems to me either way would be no different.

No matter what way you do it, both will work well. Your choice.

Yep, that's what BigWop recommended me, and it work flawlessly..

U know what happens to hot stuff when they get cold..

glue gets sticky and moist when it's heated, and it gets hard or frozen when cold...

so the change from hot to cold, weakens the strength of it,, so it makes it pop off easier...

remember to put some kind of personal card, or id, between the chip and the heatsink, and place the knife over it, that way u wont hurt the chip

thx mate...but the issue i was really wondering is - will this exchange of temperature so suddenly...would caue damage to other parts of the card/.??

If you close the bags perfectly after trying to get as much air inside the bag out as u can...


and put it inside 2 ziplock bags... it will be fine.. remember not to leave it there for too long

don;t worry i'll set up a timer or something
and i'm gonna use a vacuum cleaner to try o get as much air out as possible
