Just ordered an Alpha 8045 from newegg . I think I'll get one of these  for it, and a couple of 80mm Panaflo's and we're in quiet mode (I have to sleep next to my case).

Yeah, it's gonna be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

Im using a Volcano II right now. I get about 46 idle, 55 full load. Hopefully the Alpha will bring those temps down so I can do a little bit of oc'ing.

yer trust me it definitely will... to at least 35 degrees full load if not 30.....

btw. i am going to get a few of these oo (for friends as well) - can u tell tell me whether it was hard to install? cause i;ve read like 10 reviews..all of them said that they liked the screws mechanisim cause it's alot stronger - but it was really hard to balance the heatsink HORIZONTALLY on top of the CPU's diode..

I have the MC462 with the screw type and it was a piece of cake. Just set the HS on the core - move it as little as possible. Then tighten down the screws in the X formation and boom.

Yeah, i was checkin' out the installation guide , and it doesn't look too difficult, although a little more complicated than a clip heatsink. And if you haven't already, check out this list  for motherboard compatability.
