Socket 423,
RAMBUS,
ICH2,
AC97 ,
2 full IDE channels, up to ATA100
Low pin count interface for SIO.

BTW i just bought a comp~
the configuration is as below~
intel 810 chipset~
pentium 3 933Mhz
nvidia Gefore 2 mx (not supporting Win98)
Sound blaster live value
256 SDram
others im not sure~
n what does intel 810 chipset means??
what differs it from 850 chipset~
n what does Sd ram stands fr~
y Rd ram is faster ~

You might want to look some of that stuff up on www.webopedia.com .

I don't believe there is a socket 423. The Socket is where the CPU is placed into. There are different sockets (IE. Socket 370, 370 pin) for differnt CPU's.
I think the AC'97 is a standard motherboard audio codec. 2 full IDE channels may mean two separate IDE connectors enabling two hard drives (RAID in some cases), ATA/100 is the newest and fastest interface of the ATA "family".
