Anyone knows which one is better ?
I am going to buy a 160GB harddrive, both brands have this grade with 8M cache.

It depends on what your looking for. The Seagate is one of the best all around drives. WD is normally the fastest, but their also the loudest (by a fair bit) and they have had a few quality control problems.

Their Raptor drives are first rate though.

Hmm the days when WDs regular 7200RPM drives were fastest are long gone. Hitachi and Samsung drives are almost always faster now and Maxtor's new MaxPlus 10 line too. The Segates will probabaly be of similar performance and much quieter and come with that excellent warranty. I've never heard of a Seagate failing...

Maxtor MaxLine III's and Maxtor DiamondMax 10's. I use lots of Maxtor drives.

Seagate. Cant beat a 5 year warranty. I still have a segate hd in an old 486 that runs at 66mhz and it runs great.
