i am going to build a pc for my friend. my budget is around $700-$800max...i want to build her pretty a fast computer that lasts for a pretty long time...not an intense gaming comp because she doesn't really game that much..she jus watches a lot of movies and stuff...i also wanna put an all-in-wonder card in so she can easily hook up other video junk to it lol...help me with a build please

Since you'll be doing video capture and probabaly encoding along the way so I recommend a P4 system (pick a speed to match your budget), 1GB Value RAM and a 9600 AIW or a graphics card with a TV card (best for upgradeability, not as good for intergration). Then you just need a couple of big HDs for storage and back-up. The Maxtor DiamondMax 10s are excellent.

If quietness is important (since it's going to be a PVR) I can help out here.
