I don't know how VPN work but it seems that when I connect to my workplace computer, I see two network connection icons on my system tray. Now my Internet Explorer cannot surf the internet. Is this the normal behavior?

When I use remote desktop to connet to my PC at work, I can use that PC to surf. So it looks like I am actually surfing the internet at work and not from home.

Is their a way to use my home PC to surf the internet via an internet explorer browser while having a VPN connection?

Can I use one VPN connection and use multiple remote desktop to control multiple PCs at work?

Can I create multiple VPN connections on my home PC and then make multiple connections to multiple network like two workplaces (say one remote desktop connection to a PC in AMD building and another remote desktop connection to a PC in an Intel building?
