hi, one of my harddrives is playing up a little. it's not letting me install any programs, it keeps freezing and if it does install any programs it does it very slowley. i don't think its a virus problem because i've formated it a few times trying to sort this out. i've also done a scan disk and it hasn't found any bad sectors. so i don't really know what to do now? skip it and buy a new drive? + the drive isnt that old - about a year. any1 got any ideas?

hmmm...Have you tried the drive in another system? You can hook it up as a slave and install programs to it and see how it works in there.

Also, have installed the latest mainboard drivers for your mainboard? You might try this to see if it helps.

Good luck.
