Hi everyone, i have a liyama vision master pro 413 @ 1280x1024 @ a refresh rate of 85hz,

every now ad then it will flicker, the actual image will shake, i tried increasing the refresh rate but it just made the flickering faster!!!, can anyone help, ive only just noticed this!, i have a fx 5200 card

That monitor is a 17" isn't it? It is probabaly struggling with a res so high and that high refresh rate! Not to mention your lower end card could be stuggling too!

I would turn that res rather than risk damaging that monitor long term.

Do you have any magnets near it, possibly in a device?

Yeah good point, possibly speakers near it? It's usually the most common one.

Yeah i have a speaker both sides of my monitor, the funny thing is that i have only just noticed the flickering, i dont know if its been there all along and i havnt seen it, or it has just started recently, i hope there isnt any internal damage?

Well I'm thinking running those high settings for so long could be only starting to show long term effects now. I say try turning down the res first. It should cope with 1152x864 (what I run my 17" on). Or just temporaraly to 1024x768 and see if that helps any. If not try moving those speakers away. I have little Creative Itreuge speakers either side of my monitor and they only interfere at max volumes. They seem to have decent magnetic sheilding but I try to keep them as far away from the monitor as possible.

As long as they're not huge powerful speakers they shouldn't do much to the monitor
