hi

i recently installed a new radeon 9800 pro and there is no signal in my monitor...i have the latest motherboard drivers installed and the old nvidia drivers have been removed too...please help...

How big is your power supply? 9800's are very power hungry

You could then have a BIOS level conflict with the video card and mobo. What mobo do you have?

Oh, do you have latest BIOS in mobo? I cannot say with 100% certainty but ATI cards for years have been known to cause BIOS conflict issues though it is much less of a problem these days. Nvidia cards generally do not cause BISO issues as the "hook in" differently.

how stupid i am...the card was incorrectly attached to the agp port...and you are right...ati has some problems with via based motherboards...the solution is to updtae the lates drivers for this mobos (4 in 1)...

Glad you had a happy ending. The 4 in 1's fix driver issue but not if your are unlucky enough to have a BIOS issue
