thats right! I bought an emachines! I got their new laptop that has the Athlon64 3000+ and so far so good. I can play cnc Generals Zero Hour with no problems. I hit 9215 on 3DMark01, and this 15.4" widescreen is great. The only thing it didn't come with is a dvd burner. This thing has really changed my opinion on emachines, it seems to be just as good as any hp or dell ive used, and cost hundreds less.

Man, it sounds like I could be an emachines sales rep....

Ive never used an EMachines notebook, as I didnt know they made them, but I know for a fact that there desktops suck. I used to sell them when I worked at Office Depot. They use the cheapest parts they can find and always sell their systems lacking (memory usually). I would never buy an EMachine.

I got a 6805 also, beats the hell out of the competitors in the same price range too. It was $1299 at best buy.

Be glad you got the 6805, the older models had a production flaw in them They would overheat like MAD... then turn off

Dang....that sounds like a kickass laptop for the price. Our school just bought about 75 new Dell Precision laptops.
