I was researching overclocking on the net the other day and I ran into a few posts on forums that were basically [censored]les Soyo=[censored].
I have a Soyo p4x400 ultra platinum motherboard. I never really had any problems with the board aside from the freezing in NFS underground that went away after I did the BIOS patch.

I just wanted to know what are your thoughts on Soyo motherboards. Please feel free to post things you have heard or what you actually know for a fact.

I had an ASUS AZN266 board (athalon) and never had a problem with it

I think they can be perfectly stable but as far as value goes they're not worth it.

I am using a few right now in non prime systems and I have had no problems at all with them. They may not be the greats mobo there is but they are far from the worst.

I have been reading a lot reviews on the board that I have .. It seems like it's not that bad..
My next board will be something with similar features, but from either ASUS or ABIT ..

I have a friend who used to gloat his soyo kt333 board but he paid an arm and a leg for it and it didn't have crap for features...I think Soyo is just overpriced

Soyo = Crap

Nah.. Just kidding.. but I've seen people having hard times with Soyo motherboards..

I prefer Either ABIT or ASUs.

I had a Soyo on my old P4 1.8 system. Not too bad, until lightning made it glow in the dark

90% of the problems that they are complaining about ,,,, is what I am having problems with.

Don't let newegg reviews sway you...they are far from reliable.

I cannot speak for their AMD boards but the Intel boards (P3 and P4) I have used have been just fine. I have a P3 one in one of my daughters computers that has seen hard use and it almost two years old now without any trouble at all. It is very stable.
