I would like to see hard disk buffer access performance results on this motherboard, since a friend told me that this motherboard doesn't really support UDMA66 (or ATA66).
Please, answer ASAP, since I want to buy a computer but I don't know what motherboard to put in.

i need to know too. i also heard that it dosn't support Dma 66. i might go with a board without the dma66 and get the PCI card that really supports it.

it depends what motherboard you get.. a soyo abit whatever... it says on the box or specs... the apollo pro133a can even utilize the udma 66+ (udma100!) it's based more on the ide controller... not the chipset

Here are a couple of benchmarks showing ATA66 access for the Asus P3V4X with Pro133A chipset running a ATA66/7200RPM Maxtor Plus 40 (30.7GB model). Note the burst speed on HDDTach 2.61.

An here is that same drive under SiSoft Sandra 2000:

Hope that helps!
