Well, we all know how crappy this thing is. Well I have some new info for you guys. I got bored and I have a friend who needs a new HSF so I lapped my retail AMD HSF. Guess what. It IS copper but is coated with whatever for some reason. I'm not going to bother testing it against my TT Volcano 11+ but it is DEFINATELY an improvement over it's stock form. Enjoy!!

I'm almost positive they announced that they started shipping their CPUs with copper based HSFs quite a while ago ... don't remember with what CPU exactly though.

I always thought this thing was aluminum because it looks nothing like that out of the box. It looks just like the sides do, by that I mean it is silver and has a similar appearance to alluminum. Why on earth would they aluminize the thing?! I would want to show off it's copper quality....
