Using Cat 3.8 drivers atm and it won't let me change to agp 8x, it's stuck on 4x and won't budge :/.
BIOS settings are all correct so i'm stumped.
Help pls !

8x AGP doesn't really make that much of a difference. You might get an 1-3 extra but thats about it.

Its a matter of principle more then anything, I got a agp 8x card, it should run at that ^_^

When i installed 3.8 drivers it turned fast write off in smartgart. I clicked ont he retest all button and it turned it back on. This may be it but apart from making sure the 8x agp status is all correct in bios i have ni.

It's always been at AGP 4x with all drivers and the BIOS settings are fine ...

if u go in the device manager and right click your driver for your video card in winxp , click the properties button and select roll back driver .this will reinstall your previous driver which worked fine i'm assuming . people have been sayin that the the new cat 3.8's are screwin up there pc's.cat 3.9 should be comin soon .
