How many fans can you connect to one (a single knob) on a fan controller ? and how many fans can you connect to a single 12v connector from a power supply ?

your controller should come with information about maximum current each output can handle. case fans take around 0.15 amps and processor fans up to around 5.0 amps (very very roughly). should be marked on body of fan. multiply amps by 12 to get equivalent watts,if necessary.
cannot find any maximum capacity for molex connector (type used from power supply) but should not connect anything else to one feeding a processor fan. a molex will take quite a few case fans though.
to protect the processor, dont connect it's fan to a controller - use it's motherboard connector, or feed it direct from the power supply - with it's speed wire still fed to the motherboard connector
