i was checking 3dmark03 system details and looking at my memory info....it says my memory frequency is 800MHz each (2 sticks of 256). the problem (or no problem at all) is that the two sticks of rdram are pc1066, not pc800.

am i just an idiot or is this a problem and if it is, how do i fix it? Thanks alot.

Does your mobo support pc1066 or do you have onboard video?

yea my mobo supports pc1066 and my ram is samsung pc1066 so i dont know y it comes up as 800 mhz in 3dmark03. i dont think my ram is faulty either.

im thinking maybe thats just what the ram is running at, like it supports 1066 but doesnt need to run at it cuz of my cpu settings.

I'm pretty sure it's coz your FSB is only 800MHz (200MHz quad pumped) so the RAM is limited to 800MHz. If you want to achive higher you need to O/C. I'm sure this is why but I may be wrong

yea thats what i was thinking. if i OCed my cpu high enough the ram would run at 1066, but right now my cpu is OCed at 148/37 so the ram only needs to run at 800.
