I think Moto did some of their best work at Google. The original Moto X was a fantastic device. The Moto G was popular and redefined the mid-range. Motorola's ATAP, which remained at Google after the sale to Lenovo, also made huge strides at Google, and I'm especially eager to see Project Ara, which is the PCification of the smartphone, release successfully.
Project ara has been really quiet for months after skipping a planned Puerto Rico market pilot last year (which may have been skipped in part because of PR's economic woes making it a bad laboratory), and no one can be completely sure what it'll look like once it reemerges, because they may be taking the opportunity of delays to retool it, but it's what I'm most looking forward to.
