What would I do to upgrade cache, and is it as important as sufficient RAM? They both talk to each other over the bus to relay, recieve, and send information about the mobo, right? I guess I haven't had any real brushing up on computer information, but I'm learning as I go so I can help others as well. Thanks in advance!

I have a few questions regarding cache. L1 and L2, how much is too little and how much is enough for gaming. It was my understanding that L1 wa[censored]ard memory and the L2 could be added to at any time. I'm not really sure so if I could be properly informed I'd greatly appreciate it. As for L3 I was also speculating that this is a newerish~ addition. What is L3 and it's purposes?

You can't upgrade the cache; it's built into the processor. It's mainly there to store instructions which the processor utilizes to make it perform faster. It has been known that games that heavily use the L2 and L3 caches can benefit from a larger one but those are rare and require extensive performance enhancements.

IMO you should probably get 4MBs of L2; you wouldn't know when you need it and having it is a benefit. Though trying to find a specific memory amount is tough since processors promote performance than L2 sizes.
