So far it seems great for running multiple things at once and is super fast at installing the programs I've been putting on today.  I haven't done much else to see what the performance is like, but I'll probably pop onto Minecraft later on. I have had a couple of glitches today though. At one point the pc just shut off then a few hours later it froze. I'm not sure what happened either times, the shutting off I was working on the old pc when it happened, the freezing I was just looking at a restaurant menu online. I'm hoping it was just a one time thing for both :S     Another thing, the ASUS dvd drive I have has stopped responding a couple times and wouldn't even let me run anything from the MSI motherboard disk, no other disk has caused in issue so hmmm.   Other than that, no other issues with any of the hardware.. (knock on wood!)

Maybe see about getting all the drivers and fav, utilities,etc.stuff on a flash drive too. (most likely did that already?) and as a bonus maybe  update the info in your sig?

If you only have the one CPU cooler fan I would suggest moving it to the other side so the air blows across to cooler instead of pulling. As for the blue screen errors, check your bios settings to make sure the memory timings and speed are set correctly.

Well I'm having issues still with BSODs and screen freezing. Today has been the worst. I have run memtest86 and prime95 with no errors showing up. I have tried using one ram stick at a time for all the tests as well, no errors. I'm running all bios setting at default and checked the ram settings were correct for what the ripjaws product page says. It seems to be completely random. All drivers and bios updates are done too. CPU temps are showing average 30-35c  except when doing virus scans and such it spikes up to about 55c. I don't see it spike that high when playing Minecraft or watching video streams so I don't know why the scan does that. Prime95 has had the temps go up to at most 60-65c without errors or any bsod/freezing problems, so I don't think this is a heat issue, also because when the screen freezes my rainmeter with coretemp says about 30c. Not sure about when the BSOD happens. I cannot re-create the problem and it happens at random times. Earlier today I had the BSOD first then at reboot it, for the first time, did the black screen with blinking cursor line. Every hard boot did the same thing until it randomly didn't. I am on the pc now so it does work the majority of time. I am at a loss here. Any ideas? It's frustrating because it happening at random, it's hard to test different scenerios/settings to know if they made a difference. My minidump folder has, I think, 5 or 6 files now from the BSODs happening, not sure if someone here can maybe go over what they say somehow to figure it out. Also not sure if the BSODs are even related to the screen/system freezing. When the freeze happens I can't use the pc at all and have to hard reboot it.
I have thought about taking it in to a pc place but they might not even see a bsod or anything for maybe a week or more. On average that's how often they happen to me. Grrrrrrr. Help lol

a  wonky optical drive can certainly cause your rig to freeze..  try running with out the Asus DVD drive  just unplug it for a while.you may need to replace it and that would be a heck of a lot cheaper than having someone look at it.   anyhow  Check all your Bios settings and memory timings to stock default that you previously had that runs the best.   What graphic drivers are you using? 

If good for a few days  Cclean the temps and dumps. maybe some of this may help   meanwhile get back and let us know.

Ya buy 'em, but I'm putting together an X99 build and it's been a lot more than what I planned on. Being on a retirement income I have to save up for parts. An i7-5930K is next.
