Not in the least excited about Chrome OS. All this "Cloud" stuff needs to go away. I want *MY* data on *MY* hardware, not someone elses hardware out there on the web. For a phone, remote services (is it me or is calling it Cloud stupid) have proven themselves to be fairly useful. For a desktop, not so much.
I think the cloud will have alot of ups and downs, i't wont be practical or safe to keep personal data, critical information or applications on the cloud because of vulnerability and speed (for apps specifically) but as far as media, its perfect for the cloud.
For example having your entire photo library, or music collection on the "cloud" would be practical because you could access it all from your phone, ipod, laptop or computer as long as you had an internet connection meaning you could utilize 100's of gigabytes of music or photos on devices that dont require the same amount of storage capacity (which could get insanely expensive)
