Ok, exactly why do I want one of these? Isn't the whole point of getting an external drive for mass storage, backup, and transporting large (ie media) files? All of this is long seq reads and writes at which traditional HDDs do well for a lot less money with a lot more space.
I don't see how this would be worth the price. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of it. I just do not see how it would be useful. Maybe there are the few odd people out there who need really fast random reads and writes on their external drive that this might help.
