As of right now i believe my highest score in 3dmark with my 6800GT at stock is 11441, shouldnt be to hard to catch up to you elsp

Yea, it's a great card! I use to have an X800XL just like you but I sold that and got this, so far I have nothing to be ashamed of. Thinking about a 7800 GT but my friends are telling me it would'nt be much of an upgrade and I kinda agree. The main advatange would be the 20 pipes vs 16 but I don't know for now I'll stick with this card cause its worth it for what I paid for.

I dunno if I can be bothered to sell my X800XL and get an X800GTO2. Besides its not a guaranteed mod and I don't wanna go through the hassle to have a dud chip!

Hehe elsp i just beat your score, and im not even close to being done testing with my card. I cant go much higher on the core cause of the damn stock heatsink and fan, but i should be able to get a good bit more out of my memory clocks.

Elsp dont get upset, it is just a vid card, and it doesnt matter if something is better than it if it does what you want and how you want it. Listen eslp, the 6800GT is the same core that is in the 6800ultra and can be clocked to ultra speeds and beyond. My scores are crap really, considering my stock cooler is limiting me. If i raise the core anymore it throtles and my performance goes to [censored]. Sucks cause when i play FEAR, at stock settings my card throtles if i play the game long enough.

Your x800xl is a good card, you just need to do some tweaking around with it.

Lou, dude i just noticed that you didnt finish the entire 3dmark03 bench, you just ran through the games. Try going through it again the whole way and see what it does to your score.

Meh my gfx card is as high as it can go. Any higher on the core or memory and it artifacts (mainly extrusions off ropes and peoples mouths). So in raw power I am at my max now.

Oh that is bs elsp, what kinda cooler you got on that thing? If you got stock then you need some better cooling to get it further. I know that is what i have to do to make my card shine. Ill probably get a zalman vf700
